The last race of the 2009 Gravity East Series was held October 10-11 at Plattekill, NY. Dawn Bourque took the win for the pro women. Although I haven't seen any season-long tallies, based on the results history, it looks like Dawn has taken the series title, with Karen Eagan in 2nd. Sugarbush Gravity East Series Results

The Gravity East Downhill Series race at Sugarbush, VT took place August 1-2. Dawn Bourque continued her winning streak with a decisive victory here. The next Gravity East Series race will be held at Wilmington, NY August 29-30. The Whiteface 5K Downhill is the longest downhill race on the East Coast, and is known for being an epic weekend. Stephanie Gubernat took the win, though it looks like it's becoming a battle between her and Hillary Elgert for the series lead. Wisp Capital Cup Results

The Capital Cup downhill and dual slalom races were held at Wisp Resort in Maryland this weekend. It was the second race in the Gravity East Series. Hillary Elgert took the downhill win, as the fastest rider in each run of the two-run-combined format. The dual slalom results aren't posted yet, but I'll get them up as soon as I find them. The final downhill race of the Gravity East Series was held last weekend at Plattekill, NY. Dawn Bourque took home the win for the Pro/Expert Women. With her win in this double-points race, Dawn takes the series title for the Pro/Expert Women. Gravity East Series Update

We've been waiting to get full results from the past two Gravity East Series downhill races. Their website went down, and they've been sorting out points. The two races we've missed took place on August 16-17 at Sugarbush, VT and on September 6-7 at Attitash, NH. The Whiteface 5K also counts toward this series. We posted the Pro results for Sugarbush, but haven't posted anything for Attitash. So, to make up for it, I've posted the Attitash results and the current series standings. The final race of the series will be held October 11-12 at Plattekill, NY.

Plattekill Mountain, NY hosted the fourth downhill race in the Gravity East Series on Sunday. Dawn Bourque took her second GES Pro downhill win of the season. The second race of New York's Dual Slalom State Championship Series was held on Saturday, and Isabel Georgian took the Pro win.

The second race of the Gravity East Series took place at Mt. Snow, VT this weekend. It seems like springtime weather has been plaguing everyone lately. A rainy Saturday made for slippery conditions for racing on Sunday. Dawn Bourque didn't let a little mud bother her, though, as she took the win for the pro women.

Gravity East Series Race #1 Results

The Yee-Ha downhill at Massanutten Resort, VA kicked off the 2008 Gravity East Series. Cross country legend Sue Haywood used her fitness and local knowleged to slay the competition. She took the win by nearly 30 seconds over Ellen Adams. The next race at Massanutten is the Super D on May 31, 2008.
